Bob began his 20+ years of marketing and international business development at ABKO, Inc. where he sourced product, created programs and merchandised those programs to big-box retailers throughout the Americas. He segued that experience in working for Seiko as head of Marketing and Merchandising for their Lorus division and head of licensing for Seiko, USA, working closely with Disney in creating a global product. He became Director of International Business Development for Nike and worked across the globe introducing various programs and products. During his tenure at Nike, he grew businesses both organically and through distribution innovation and geographical advantage. Those initiatives ranged from $5M to $450M. After leaving Nike, he started Accretive Global Consulting wherein he consulted to companies such as: Nike, Build a Bear, Parsec and Ardent growing their brands both organically and internationally. Just prior to joining THE RUSH, Bob assisted a number of startups in creating business plans and successful go to market strategies. THE RUSH, a start-up owned by the PEG, Quantum Ventures of Michigan, LLC is a software company with a proprietary product that targets global media rights holders in the sport and music space. During Bob’s term, the company developed go to market strategies that were created for the sole purpose of an exit strategy by the PEG. After leaving THE RUSH, Bob reopened Accretive Global Consulting. Have mentored numerous startups in taking their product from idea to revenue. Current clients include a large Chinese manufacturer of Consumer Electronics.
Bob’s expertise lies in business development across multiple platforms, with a substantial background in international growth. He has worked with a diverse group of companies from large corporations to start-ups. Bob’s expertise lies in identifying areas of growth for companies either through organic, innovative or international means.
