Mr. Waserstein is currently the Founder and Managing Partner of SOIL Funds Management, LLC. The firm targets control and semi-control investments in resource efficiency, renewable energy, and other sustainable businesses. It’s inaugural fund, Sustainable Opportunities & infrastructure, LP is targeting $300M for both growth equity and debt positions. Initial transactions include residential solar financing, water desalination, and renewable project development.

He was previously Director, Private Capital at Enclave Capital, LLC. which he joined in December 2014. His primary focuses were energy and technology with clients in digital media, software, financial technology, and energy. Transactional experience included energy storage, wind turbine manufacturing, advanced materials, “healthy” real estate, sharing economy, and financial advisory.

From 2009 through 2013, he was the Director of Investments and Partner at I2BF Global Ventures, a $350M AUM private investment manager with an international investment mandate. While there, he was responsible for the entire investment process from sourcing to investment management. After initially joining the firm in London, he established the firm’s New York office and subsequent relocation of the headquarters to NYC. During his tenure at I2BF, Mr. Waserstein led investments in Primus Power and GMZ Energy as well as follow-on rounds and assistance with Epuramat, Nesscap Energy, and Primafuel. He was also the Chairman at Solix Biosystems and held board seats at Prism Solar Technologies, Scifiniti, and Nordic Windpower. From 2012 to 2013, Mr Waserstein was the interim CEO at Prism Solar Technologies, Inc. where he led the commercialization of Prism’s unique all-glass solar panels.

In 2007, Mr Waserstein began his investment career in energy and sustainability at Hudson Clean Energy Partners, a private equity fund with $1.024B AUM, where he was the third investment professional. While there, Mr Waserstein focused on solar, wind, and biofuels.

Mr. Waserstein graduated with an MBA from Columbia University and a BA from Tufts University. He is a mentor in the Cleantech Open network as well as through the Branson Centre for Entrepreneurship.
